WARDOGS Weapon Tier List: Best Guns Ranked and Priced

Every WARDOGS death costs cash, so a bad weapon pick loses you the fight and the money.

This WARDOGS weapon tier list ranks 29 firearms from top tier to skip, using a content creator’s hands-on verdicts checked against current prices and stats.

Use it to find the guns worth buying, the ones worth ignoring, and the cheap picks that beat their price tags.

Table of Contents

WARDOGS Weapon Tier List at a Glance

This WARDOGS weapon tier list sorts 29 firearms into five tiers, from Top down to Skip, plus four unranked entries for reference.

The M4, Galil and FAL lead the list, the AMP-9 is the standout budget pick, and the free faction rifles land in Skip.

Tier Weapons
Top (S) M4, Galil, FAL, Super-45†
Great (A) AMP-9, SVD, BMR-308
Good (B) AK74, M500, Mosin Nagant, SV98, MK22, AMR 50, SKS, GGX 18, T-21
Mid or Situational (C) MP5, PP-19 Vityaz, MP43, M249 SAW, PKM, GGX 17, Judge, M1911, Deagle
Skip (D) A-91, Bushmaster M17S, KH-2002, Scout Rifle TD
Unranked (discussed, no named tier) Compound Bow
Unranked (not covered by creator) RPG-7, 9K333 Verba, MAAWS, MGL-40

The creator never slots the Super-45 into a named tier on camera. Its Top-tier spot here is an editorial placement, based on how strongly he praises the gun, not his own ranking.

The Compound Bow gets the same treatment for a different reason: the creator discusses it at length but never names a tier for it either, so it stays unranked rather than guessed at.

How This WARDOGS Tier List Works

This tier list weighs kill speed, recoil, range, price and how long a weapon stays useful.

It follows the verdicts of a WARDOGS content creator who ranked nearly every firearm and explained each placement.

The five tiers run from Top (S) through Great (A), Good (B) and Mid or Situational (C) down to Skip (D).

Price matters more here than in most shooters.

Every player starts with $10,000, that cash persists from match to match, and that each life uses a purchased loadout, as the WARDOGS loadouts guide explains in full.

Most weapons carry two prices: a one-time unlock cost and a vendor price paid every life you carry the gun.

WARDOGS also levels several tracks separately.

Assault, Medic, Support and Recon are role-specific XP tracks, covered in the WARDOGS classes explainer, that only rise while you use that role’s gear, while a single account-wide Career track unlocks weapons with no assigned role, such as the pistols.

An “Assault 20” unlock and a “Career 20” unlock come from two different meters, not the same one.

Every price and unlock in this article comes from a community-maintained weapons database.

This tier list ranks 29 firearms from Top to Skip.

It also lists the Compound Bow and the four launchers as unranked reference entries, since the creator discusses the bow but assigns it no tier and does not mention the launchers at all.

Fists, the melee weapon, are left out entirely.

The creator calls the AMP-9 the MP9 and the GGX 18 the Glock, and this article uses the in-game names.

Most of the weapons he discusses unlock at role levels in the 30s.

How This WARDOGS Tier List Works

Top Tier: M4, Galil, FAL and Super-45

The M4, Galil, FAL and Super-45 form the top tier of this WARDOGS weapon tier list.

The M4 is the best all-round rifle, the Galil is the longer-range alternative, the FAL kills fastest, and the Super-45 rules close quarters.

M4

Wardogs M4

The M4 is the creator’s clear top-tier pick, and he says few players would argue with it.

Its recoil is very manageable for an 800 RPM weapon, and that fire rate matches two of the SMGs in the game.

It also brings rifle damage and rifle bullet speed, with a listed muzzle velocity of a reported 910 m/s, more than double the reported 400 m/s of the AMP-9.

The M4 works well up close and at mid range, and good recoil control stretches its reach further.

It costs $2,800 per life plus a $100,000 unlock at Assault level 20.

Galil

Wardogs Galil

The Galil is top tier but sits a little below the M4.

According to the creator, it comes with 35-round magazines by default and has slightly more bullet velocity than the AK74.

It fires a 5.56 round instead of the AK74’s 5.45, so it does a bit more damage per hit.

Even average recoil control lets it kill from far away, and strong recoil control makes it lethal at very long range.

It costs $2,200 per life plus a $35,000 unlock at Assault level 10, which undercuts the M4 on both counts.

FAL

Wardogs FAL

The FAL is the most expensive gun in the top tier and the fastest killer in the game.

At $6,500 per life, it takes 65% of the $10,000 starting balance.

It fires full auto, and the creator cites roughly 90 headshot damage.

The database’s weapon list gives the FAL a 0.09-second, two-shot time to kill against an unarmored target, the lowest among the rapid-fire weapons it tracks.

Its own per-weapon calculator defaults to Level 1 Armor instead and shows a slower 0.18-second, three-shot kill, so the headline figure assumes no armor. Faster overall XP gains are covered in the leveling and XP guide.

The creator says it out-kills even the Super-45 and has the range to back that up.

The drawbacks are poor magazine economy and the price, but anyone caught in its full-auto fire is gone almost instantly.

The unlock costs $200,000 at Assault level 35.

Super-45 (Top-Tier)

Wardogs Super-45

The creator never names a tier for the Super-45, so its spot here is an editorial call, not his own ranking.

It sits in Top tier because of how strongly he praises it below, and the tier and price tables both mark it with a dagger for that reason.

The Super-45 is a close-range menace with almost no recoil.

The creator says its recoil is close to zero because of how the recoil system works.

Its .45 rounds deal about 30% more damage than any 9mm gun, and at 1,200 RPM it fires nearly twice as fast as the Galil’s 650 RPM.

That puts its output near a 5.56 assault rifle, according to the creator.

Muzzle velocity and range are poor, but the creator estimates the low recoil lets it reach about as far as the AMP-9.

It costs $2,600 per life plus a $150,000 unlock at Medic level 35.

The creator calls this gun the Vector, and the community weapons database uses that name in its page address.

Great Tier: AMP-9, SVD and BMR-308

The AMP-9 leads the SMGs on value, and the SVD and BMR-308 are the two marksman rifles the creator rates as really good.

AMP-9

Wardogs AMP-9

The AMP-9 sits at the top of Great tier and beats its $900 price tag.

It deals the same damage as any 9mm SMG, and its muzzle velocity ties for the highest of any SMG at a reported 400 m/s, matching the MP5.

It fires at 900 RPM with very low recoil, according to the creator.

The creator says it comes with 20-round magazines that take one slot, and a 50-round drum upgrade takes two.

It needs no unlock, and the creator uses it as a combat medic all the time.

At $900, it costs only 9% of the starting balance.

SVD

Wardogs SVD

The SVD is a marksman rifle that reloads much faster than the SKS.

It also has better muzzle velocity, better accuracy and more damage than the SKS.

It sits on the pricier side at $4,800 per life, but the creator calls it well worth the money.

The unlock costs $50,000 at Recon level 12.

BMR-308

Wardogs BMR-308

The BMR-308 sits right next to the SVD in Great tier.

The creator calls it a bit better than the SVD but a lot more expensive.

It costs $6,000 per life plus a $125,000 unlock at Recon level 30.

The creator’s verdict on the whole category is simple: the marksman rifles in WARDOGS are really good.

Good Tier: AK74, SKS, T-21, M500, GGX 18 and Snipers

Good tier holds reliable weapons that each come with a clear catch.

Either a better gun exists for a similar price, or the weapon needs the right situation to shine.

AK74

Wardogs AK74

The AK74 is a good weapon on its own and sits at the top of Good tier.

It has low recoil, high muzzle velocity and great range, and at $1,600 per life it is cheap.

The catch is the Galil, which is a clear step up and costs only $600 more.

The creator expects players to move on from the AK74 quickly once they unlock the Galil, and if the Galil did not exist the AK74 would rank in Great.

The AK74 unlocks for $10,000 at Assault level 3.

M500 Pump Shotgun

Wardogs M500 Pump Shotgun

The pump-action M500 also sits at the top of Good tier.

Fitted with a scope and slugs, it works like a sniper rifle or DMR, and it is strong up close as well.

The creator does not rate it above a top-tier rifle or SMG, because missing a shot or needing two or three hits makes a pump shotgun hard to win with.

It costs $1,200 per life plus a $50,000 unlock at Support level 10.

Snipers: Mosin Nagant, SV98, MK22 and AMR 50

The four sniper rifles all land at the top of Good tier.

The Mosin Nagant is the entry point at $4,500 per life, and the SV98 is a slight upgrade for $5,200.

The MK22 is a nice upgrade over the SV98 but costs $6,400, and the AMR 50 can one-shot a headshot at $8,800.

The creator prefers DMRs for anyone with good aim, because a DMR can two-tap a target while a bolt-action rifle is still cycling.

Semi-autos also work up close, which matters when a fight reaches the objective zone.

Sniping from 900 meters is fun, the creator says, but it does little for the objective compared with killing plenty of targets at mid range.

SKS

Wardogs SKS

The SKS is the first DMR you unlock, and it earns a place in Good tier.

With armor-piercing ammo it can kill a Level 2 armor wearer with one headshot and one body shot, according to the creator.

Against many armor types it is otherwise a solid three or four shot kill.

The downsides are some recoil and a slow reload, though it is nice that you carry no magazines for it.

It costs $2,400 per life plus a $25,000 unlock at Recon level 5.

The SVD replaces it once you can afford the upgrade, since better DMRs come later.

GGX 18

Wardogs GGX 18

The GGX 18 is the sidearm worth carrying, and it earns Good tier.

It fires at 1,200 RPM and deals the same damage as any 9mm SMG, so it can melt targets up close.

It does not reach Great because most players rarely need a secondary.

It costs $800 per life plus a $50,000 unlock at Career level 70.

T-21

Wardogs T-21

The T-21 sits at the bottom of Good tier and still does well.

At 750 RPM it fires faster than both the Galil and the AK74, and its time to kill beats a lot of the weapons in the game.

The catch is very high recoil, and the M4 is a direct upgrade in every way.

It costs only $600 per life with no unlock, so it is much cheaper than the M4.

Mid and Situational Tier: SMGs, LMGs and Secondaries

Mid and Situational weapons work in a narrow role or lose to a cheaper alternative.

Each one below has a use, but a better option usually sits in the tiers above.

MP5

Wardogs MP5

The MP5 lands in Mid tier as a slightly better gun than the PP-19 Vityaz.

It shares the Vityaz’s 800 RPM fire rate, with a bit more muzzle velocity and better recoil, according to the creator.

At $1,500 per life plus a $75,000 unlock at Medic level 15, it costs far more than the AMP-9, which shares its 400 m/s muzzle velocity.

PP-19 Vityaz

Wardogs PP-19 Vityaz

The PP-19 Vityaz is not very good, and the creator wavers between Mid and Skip.

It has lower muzzle velocity, worse recoil and worse magazines than the AMP-9, and the AMP-9 is also cheaper.

The creator notes it cannot run 20-round magazines, and its 50-round drum takes three slots instead of two.

It costs $1,200 per life plus a $25,000 unlock at Medic level 4.

MP43 Double Barrel

Wardogs MP43 Double Barrel

The MP43 is interesting with slugs, since it works like a budget sniper rifle for just $400 per life.

It needs no unlock, but the creator expects players to stop using it once they unlock a better shotgun.

The creator has rarely seen one since day one and would rather pay a couple of hundred dollars more for a T-21.

M249 SAW and PKM

Wardogs M249 SAW and PKM

The M249 SAW and the PKM share Mid or Situational because LMGs are held back in this game.

The PKM deals insane damage and the M249 is very controllable, according to the creator.

Both are heavy, you cannot fire them well while standing, and they sway heavily coming out of a sprint.

With a bipod or from prone, they can laser people, and a squad crossing a street in front of a window position is gone.

The problem is that a revealed position gets punished fast by anyone with a DMR or sniper.

The creator says an M4 is better in most scenarios, but these guns are insanely good in the ones they suit.

The M249 costs $3,200 per life plus a $100,000 unlock at Support level 15, and the PKM costs $4,500 per life plus a $150,000 unlock at Support level 30.

GGX 17, Judge, M1911 and Deagle

Wardogs GGX 17, Judge, M1911 and Deagle

The four secondaries all sit in Mid or Situational because the creator sees little need for a secondary in this game.

The Deagle does a lot of headshot damage, but the creator says it weighs about 2 kg on its own before you add ammo and magazines.

The Judge is okay, the M1911 is a decent pistol, and the GGX 17 fires much slower than the GGX 18 for the same damage.

A secondary makes the most sense with a bolt-action rifle, and the GGX 18 is the pick in that case.

The GGX 17 costs $200 per life, the Judge $250, the M1911 $300 and the Deagle $900.

The Deagle’s unlock level dropped from 90 to 85 in Season 1, and its unlock costs $75,000.

Skip Tier: Default Rifles and the Scout Rifle TD

Skip tier means you should not buy the weapon and should swap it for anything you find.

The default assault rifles and the Scout Rifle TD are the two groups here.

A-91, Bushmaster M17S and KH-2002

Wardogs A-91, Bushmaster M17S and KH-2002

The three default faction rifles fire in semi or burst mode and reportedly cannot take attachments.

The creator says they have bad muzzle velocity and bad accuracy, and the database backs that up with 715 m/s and 1.5 MOA of base spread against the M4’s 910 m/s and 0.84 MOA.

With attachments they might be pretty good, but that option does not exist.

Use one only when you have no money and want a single kill so you can pick up a better gun.

Almost every gun you find on the ground is worth picking up instead.

The one exception is the Scout Rifle TD, covered next.

Scout Rifle TD

Wardogs Scout Rifle TD

The Scout Rifle TD is a single-shot break-action rifle, and the creator reads it as a joke weapon.

The creator believes it exists so players learn to spot with binoculars instead of sniping right away.

It is the one gun the creator would not pick up after a kill.

It costs $1,100 per life with no unlock, which is nearly double the price of a T-21.

Compound Bow: Situational Specialist

Wardogs Compound bow

The Compound Bow is the one weapon here without a named tier, and it is a situational specialist.

It can be very strong when enemies do not know where you are, and it is a fun weapon to use.

The catch is that you have to run it close to targets, and it has no sights.

In many fights a gun is the better choice, but when the bow works, the creator says it really works. The compound bow balance breakdown looks at whether it’s overtuned.

It costs $800 per life plus a $125,000 unlock at Recon level 17.

Launchers: Not Ranked by the Creator

The creator’s video does not mention any of the four launchers in WARDOGS.

The 9K333 Verba, MAAWS, MGL-40 and RPG-7 are listed below for reference only, and none of them carries a tier.

Launcher Price per life One-time unlock Unlock level
RPG-7 $2,000 $30,000 Support 5
9K333 Verba $800 $50,000 Support 16
MAAWS $2,600 $125,000 Support 20
MGL-40 $6,000 $200,000 Support 35

These four figures come from the same community weapons database used for every other price in this article. For shot counts against vehicles, see the vehicle destruction guide.

Fists, the game’s melee weapon, are also left out of this tier list entirely, since they carry no price or tier of their own.

That brings total coverage to 34 of the 35 entries in the current weapons database: 29 firearms ranked from Top to Skip, plus the Compound Bow and the four launchers listed as unranked.

WARDOGS Weapon Prices and Unlock Costs

Every ranked weapon has a per-life price and a one-time unlock, and the table below lists both, plus the bow and launchers as unranked reference rows.

MAAWS Unranked (not covered by creator) $2,600 $125,000 Support 20
MGL-40 Unranked (not covered by creator) $6,000 $200,000 Support 35

Assault, Medic, Support and Recon levels are separate role XP tracks that rise only while you use that role’s gear. Career levels come from a single account-wide track instead, and they govern the pistols in this table (GGX 17, GGX 18, Judge, M1911 and Deagle).

† Editorial placement: the creator never assigns the Super-45 to a named tier. Its Top-tier spot reflects how strongly he praises it, not his own ranking.

The unlock is paid once, and the per-life price is paid again every time you rebuy the weapon after a death.

That is why a $6,500 FAL is a bigger commitment than the raw stats suggest, while a $600 T-21 barely dents the wallet.

Best WARDOGS Weapon by Playstyle

The best weapon depends on how you fight, and the creator’s reasoning points to a clear pick for each style.

Playstyle Best pick Why
Combat medic AMP-9 900 RPM, very low recoil and only $900
All-round rifleman M4 Strong at close and mid range with manageable recoil
Long-range rifleman Galil More velocity than the AK74 and lethal at range
Highest kill speed FAL Fastest time to kill, at $6,500 per life
Close quarters Super-45 1,200 RPM with almost no recoil
Recon SVD or BMR-308 Semi-auto DMRs beat bolt-action snipers for most fights
Support M249 SAW or PKM Strong from a bipod or prone position
Sidearm GGX 18 1,200 RPM with the same damage as a 9mm SMG
Tight budget T-21 or AK74 Cheap rifles that hold up until you unlock better

For a full early-game kit rather than just a weapon pick, see the best starter weapons guide and the best starter loadout guide.

Patch Status for This Tier List

This tier list reflects the game after Patch 0.11 on September 14, 2026, and it was rechecked on September 26, 2026.

At that recheck, the community database still showed game build 499480 (Release) with no price or unlock changes since the September 19 check, and its own version marker read v1.1.0, dated September 22, 2026.

Bulkhead’s Season 1 changelog on Steam moved a few unlock levels, including the Deagle from level 90 to 85 and the PP-19 50-round drum from Medic level 33 to 29.

The changelog’s economy list did not change the vendor price of any weapon ranked here.

Bulkhead’s official Patch 0.11 notes on Steam cover server browser changes and a temporary community-server cash bonus, with no weapon changes.

Bulkhead’s Season 1 changelog also said each season will use a different XP curve with different item orders, so unlock levels can shift in future seasons.

Community trackers report a Season 2 teaser for October 15, 2026, which was not yet confirmed with full patch notes at the time of this recheck and could move some of these prices or unlock levels again.

Prices and unlock costs can change with any patch, so confirm them at the in-game vendor before you spend.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best weapon in WARDOGS?

The top tier holds the M4, Galil, FAL and Super-45, though the Super-45 spot is an editorial call and not one the creator assigned himself.

The M4 is the best all-round pick at $2,800 per life.

The FAL kills fastest but costs $6,500 per life, which is 65% of the $10,000 starting balance.

What is the best SMG in WARDOGS?

The Super-45 is the strongest close-range SMG, with 1,200 RPM and almost no recoil.

The AMP-9 is the best value at $900 and sits in Great tier.

The MP5 lands in Mid tier and costs $1,500, well above the AMP-9’s price.

What is the best assault rifle in WARDOGS?

The M4 is the best all-round assault rifle, and the Galil is a close second for long-range work.

The FAL is the strongest if the budget allows.

The T-21 is a cheaper option but ranks at the bottom of Good tier.

Is the FAL worth $6,500 in WARDOGS?

The FAL has the fastest time to kill in the game and strong range, so it earns a top-tier spot.

It also has poor magazine economy, and each life costs 65% of the starting balance.

It is best bought when the cash reserve can absorb losing it.

Is the T-21 good in WARDOGS?

The T-21 sits at the bottom of Good tier.

It costs only $600, fires at 750 RPM and has a fast time to kill, but its recoil is very high.

The M4 is a direct upgrade if you can afford it.

What is the best marksman rifle in WARDOGS?

The SVD and BMR-308 both rank in Great tier.

The SVD costs $4,800 per life and reloads much faster than the SKS.

The BMR-308 is a bit better but costs $6,000 per life.

Are sniper rifles worth using in WARDOGS?

The Mosin Nagant, SV98, MK22 and AMR 50 all sit at the top of Good tier.

The creator still prefers marksman rifles because they can hit several targets at mid range and fight up close.

Sniping from extreme distance also does little for the objective.

What is the best budget weapon in WARDOGS?

The AMP-9 at $900 is the best budget pick, and it needs no unlock.

The T-21 at $600 and the AK74 at $1,600 are the cheapest rifles worth buying.

The free default rifles rank in Skip because they cannot take attachments.

Are LMGs good in WARDOGS?

The M249 SAW and PKM sit in Mid or Situational.

They are heavy, hard to shoot while standing and sway after a sprint.

With a bipod or from prone they hit hard, but a DMR or sniper can punish a revealed position.

Which WARDOGS weapons should you skip?

Skip the default assault rifles (A-91, Bushmaster M17S and KH-2002) and the Scout Rifle TD.

The default rifles are free but fire in semi or burst mode and cannot take attachments.

Use one only to earn a first kill, then swap to a better gun.

Does this tier list cover launcher weapons?

No.

The creator does not mention the 9K333 Verba, MAAWS, MGL-40 or RPG-7 anywhere in his video, so none of them gets a tier.

The price table lists all four as Unranked (not covered by creator) using data from a community weapons database.

How much do WARDOGS weapons cost?

Most weapons have a one-time unlock cost and a vendor price paid every life.

Players start with $10,000, and prices run from free default rifles up to $8,800 for the AMR 50.

The full list is in the price table above.
